First, you must be connected to the Internet. If any firewall attempts to block 'plActivate.exe' from connecting to 'activate.bitsum.com', be sure to let it through! This is a one time connection to validate the license.
See the Help / Activate menu option, as shown below.
If you do NOT see this, then the product may already be activated. To ensure the right license is applied, use Help / Change License Code.
ACTIVATION IS FAILING?
Some possibilities are listed below. Make sure you have internet access!
Firewall is blocking Process Lasso (ProcessLasso.exe, plActivate.exe, or other modules). Often times this firewall is part of your security suite.
HOSTS file has been modified by a crack or keygen to prevent access to our server.
Corporate, ISP, or other proxy prohibits access. Purchase a license in this case, as it requires special handling.
FAILED TO RECEIVE YOUR ACTIVATION CODE?
Please Do This:
CHECK SPAM, Trash, or Bulk mail folders
WAIT one hour
APPLY AGAIN
VISIT the Support Area and try resetting your password - you now have an account there. Once in, you can get your Activation Code.
EMAIL support@bitsum.com if you still have troubles.
SOME PROCESSES ARE MISSING, HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
You need to check the menu items 'Main / Manage processes of all users' and 'Main / Run Process Lasso with elevated rights'. Checking 'manage all users' should also turn on elevation.
